stunning Uranium glass lamp
Item
number: FUR07071758
Price:
$550
A stunning URANIUM GLASS lamp. This lamp originally started out its
life as an oil lamp with a chimney in the middle but has been converted
into an electic lamp. The fact that the glass in this lamp is uranium
dates it to pre-1930s, but I am not sure how long ago it began its
journey....it could well hve been a Victorian lamp. The lamp stands
48.5 cms tall. The glass, which is valuable in itself is in excellent
condition. If you wanted, you could restore this lamp to being an oil
lamp again, but I like the fact that you can put an ultra violet light
in it and watch the glass glow.
I have heaps of uranium glass for sale under "Uranium
Glass" and another stunning bronze lamp listed under "Ornaments"...well
worth a look. I have also recently started a category caled "lamps" but
most of these (not all though) are old vinatge and antique oil lamps.

Early colonial cedar rocking horse
Item number: FUR21021906
Price:
$4250
This is an original Australian colonial cedar rocking horse. It is a
bit difficult to date but I would say it is mid-to-late-1800s, say
1850-1870...it may well be older. It still has its original paint
although much of it has fallen off. The important thing from a
collector's point of view is that it has never been painted. It also
appears to have been hand-made probably made by the father for his
children in tough colonial times. The horse stands about 61 cms high
and is about 91 cms long. It is definitely made of Australian
cedar...early Australian colonial furniture is my forte.
