Genuine carrara marble (made in Italy) bookend. The knight looks to be made of some hard plastic and is painted to look like metal. The marble stands 18 cms and is 12 cms wide. Needs a clean, but in excellent condition. Don't forget this is genuine marble.

This biscuit tin is also ideal to store documents in. It has a HINGED LID and is ornately embossed on 5 sides. In very good condition. Measures 23 x 31 x 7 cms. Made by the Victoria Biscuit Co., Holland. Shows lovely aging.

A very ornate embossed cherab design biscuit tin, that would be most ideal for the storage of documents. the size is 23 x 31 x 78 cms. made in West Germany. It is highly embossed on all sides and is very ornate, and has a HINGED LID. The price is quite firm on this tin, so no offers please.

A lovely Victorian walnut (Ithink) inkwell set with drawer, fitted with a carry handle. One of the glass wells was broken and has been repaired...still with a small chip (but hey it is old and at least it survived). Otherwise in excellent condition. The size is 31 cms x 20 cms x 8.5 cms high (to top, not including handle).

This is a very old mulga wood desktop inkwell set. It is beautifully made with turned supports for the pen, turn wooden well housings, and bun feet underneath. It is also attractive in that the bark has been left on the wood on the front and back. It does have some minor faults consistent with age, such as: a bit of one of the turned supports for the pen is missing; the wooden well supports are both cracked at the back (I am sure these can be easily glued back together...or left as they are....not visible from the front, and it looks like they might have even been made that way even. The inkwells themselves are made of porcelain, china or glass...there are some small cracks in the bottom of one of them. The barky front and back look to have been glued back on at some time.

Besides all of its faults this is an aestetically pleasing and well-aged inkwell with a lot of character.

The size of the inkwell is 18 cms x 14 cms and stands 8.5 cms high. The base sits on 4 bun feet. The piece looks to be of the 1930's vintage and has some art deco appeal.

This is an Art Deco era pad holder with a pen slot in a bird. I'm not sure if it is silver plated, or chromed, maybe the later. The size of the pad holder is 12 cms x just over 15 cms. Would be great next to the phone for messages or on your desk. You don't see many of these. In excellent condition.
