A unusual intricately carved cigarette box....opens up in an unusual way. The dimensions are 15.5 cms x 10.5 cms x 10.5 cms.

IT IS HARD TO FIND ITEMS LIKE THIS IN SUCH GOOD CONDITION....THIS IS ALSO QUITE STUNNING AND OF VERY SOLID CONSTRUCTION

This is a lovely Art Deco Bakelite cigarette case/container/box with a hinged lid. Suitable to leave on a table with a rable lighter. This container came from a liquidation sale of an old antique shop in Subiaco Perth.

In excellent condition...no cracks or chips.

The size of the container is 9.5 cms x 8.5 cms x 5 cms high. There are two brass hinges inside each 3.3 cms long. The lid closes beautifully...very snug...even snaps closed. The bottom says made in England. This is a very solid bakelite container.

This is a fairly plain but interesting 9ct solid Gold match book cover. It's stamped 9ct on the inside of both sections. There is a bit of residue of match strikes at one end. This isn't visible on the outside. This is a very rare and unusual piece. It is strange someone thought match books were ever worthy of a solid gold case. The overall condition is very good, the hinge is still solid and the clasp closes well. There are a few very slight dints which you can see in the photos. Size is approximately 60mm x 47mm. Weight. It weighs 25.75 gms.

This is much like the other bakelite box I have for sale except it is a little bigger, measuring 17 x 9 x 5 cms. In excellent condition.

Complete set of 1933 Will's cigarette cards of Famous Film Stars

This is a nice old album with 102 Will's cigarette cards from 1933 placed in them...the paper is nicely cut so that the corners of the cards are held in place...includes such stars as: MARLENE DIETRICH, KATHERINE HEPBURN, LORETTA YOUNG, CAROLE LOMBARD, BETTE DAVIS, DOUGLAS FAIRBANKS JNR, DOUGLAS FAIRBANKS SNR, CHARLES CHAPLIN, LAUREL & HARDY, WILLIAM POWELL, GARY COOPER, and CARY GRANT, to name a few of them.

Two of the cards are not from this series (easily identified from the photos below), so this means there are 100 from the 1933 series. Although I have not checked the numbers at the back this must mean that this is the COMPLETE SET.

Most of the cards are in excellent condition, but a few (just a few) have a little bit of damage.

The old album they have been placed in, called "Snaps"has about 13 unused pages...so you can add other card collections to the album as well.

Don't forget it includes the COMPLETE SET, the vintage album, and all the hard work this previous collector has done already...the cards are nicely placed (and sorted) in an album for you.
