long sterling silver men's chain

is
quite a long sterling silver men's chain....I assume it's a men's
chain because it is so long, but I guess a woman could also wear it.
You could even have it made into 2 small chains. The chain is about 80
cms long. If you want to see how big this is, get a piece of string of
thread and measure out 80 cms. It has a beaten figure 8 link with an
alternating cylindrical link. Marked 925 (for sterling) plus a maker's
mark, that I just can't make out. The chain is also quite thick, about
4 mm across. The chain weighs about 30 gms, just over 1 ounce.

intricate rope design sterling silver chain

This is a lovely, quite thick sterling silver chain in a
rope design, made with smaller links close to each other intertwining
in a helictic manner.....very clever. The chain is about 43 cms long, 3
mm thick, weighs 10.3 gms, and is marked 925 Italy plus a maker's mark,
which looks to be *(star) 1 AR, which probably tells you who made it
and where in Italy.

longish thickish sterling silver chain

This
lovely
sterling silver chain is similar to the rope design one above
but made by interlocking 3 pairs of links at each jusnction....see
photo above. the chain is about 60 cms long (quite long), about 2.5 to
3 mms thick, weighs about 20.6 gms. It is unmarked but tests as
sterling silver. I think the hallmark link may have got lost at some
time, but definitely a lovely chain and definitely sterling silver.

'Razor-blade' pendant sterling silver
chain, different

This
is
a vintage Italian sterling silver chain marked 925 and 'star'150 AR
on razor blade pendant, and 925 'star' 115 AR on chain. It is about 40
cms long, about 2-2.5 cms thick, and weighs about 13 gms. The links are
connected in a simple chain style but the sides of each link has a
sharpened edge, to go with the edge of the razor I guess. Very
different. Very nice.
