Large glass bulb-shaped bottle

Item number: 09020001

Price: $155

A large bulb shape glass bottle, made in Italy. This could be used as a decoration filled with something like marbles, or lollies (a giant lolly jar)...or may even be used as a fish tank. The bottle is 27 cms high and has a diameter of about 34 cms. The glass has a lovely poured look about it, with some large trapped air bubbles. Under my calculations the bottle holds about 12 litres, maybe more.

6 American Indians PEWTER lead toys SIGNED statue

Item number: 12021816

Price: $300 ($50 each) or $75 each sold separately

SIX FINE PEWTER SCULPTURES OF AMERICAN NATIVE INDIANS

This auction consists of 6 pewter scultures by Jim Ponter made in pewter of American Indian Chiefs or warriors.

They include

1. Crazy Horse, spear needs to be reattached, only damage...I should have it repaired soon.

2. Chief Red Cloud

3. Chief Crowfoot

4. Red Jacket

5. Sitting Bull

6. Tecumseh

All the scultures are inscribed on the bottom with the name of the Indian, "Jim Ponter" and "Fine Pewter c1992 FM crafted in Malaysia" (home of the finest pewter).

Someone on ebay is selling one of these for $125....just for Sitting Bull. He says they are made bt FRANKLIN MINT and that they are no longer available.

The tops of the pieces are also signed "Jim Ponter" on the base, which suggests they may be special.

Each of the sculptures is gilded in various places. They are also very detailed indeed. they are also quite heavy being made of pewter and do not fall over easily.

The tallest sculpture is about 10.5 cms tall and the shorest about 8 cms high.

Not sure if it is a Greek Goddess. the surface of the plaster has been worked as well. This is an outstanding piece that is much more impressive than displays in the photograph. Pair magificant spelter figures horse and knight, c1880

Item number: 18021613

Price: $950 for both

Two superb spelter (zinc I think) figure groups of knights on horses. I have looked at the Carter's Price Guide and I would estimate they are c1880. Actually one of the Guides (2005) has a SINGLE horse and knight in it just like this, and that is priced at $750, and is smaller than mine (32 x 41 cms). My statues are slightly AF ("as found"; which means have some damage) but they are superb and you would hardly notice. One of the horses has a broken leg, and one of the knights has lost his sword. They are both about 35 cms long and 45-48 cms tall. They obviously need a light clean but the age and patina should not be removed from them.
