c1870 antique American figural silverplate brides basket/fruit bowl/centrepiece with original glass insert

Item number: SIL02121727

Price: $950

This is a fabulous American c1870 figural silverplate brides basket (that is what they were called but it can be used as a centrepiece of a fruit bowl) complete with its original glass insert (which is quite rare to find) which is an almost effervescent blue colour with milk glass finish around the frilled edges. the glass is also decorated with grapes and vines like the silverplated frame. This piece is marked as having been made by Rogers & Bro, with the pattern number 4490. Rogers & Bro started in 1858 (in Waterbury CT USA) and was incorporated in the International Silver Company in 1898. The basket stands about 23 cms (9 inches) tall. In excellent condition. No damage to the glass, and no silverplate loss. A rare find and an exceptional piece.

Russian Silver/Silverplate candlesticks/candle holders, hallmark 84

Item number: SIL03061934

Price: $250

This is a lovely pair of silver or silverplated candles sticks. I think they are plated even though they have a Russian silver hallmark with a man facing to the right and 84 stamped on them (see photo). It looks like they had some gold plating in places as well when made, especially on the flowers near the top. They are about 6 inches tall and are quite ornate. I know Russian silver is of a lower quality than sterling silver but it looks like brass showing up on some places (as you can see in the photos below). Just in case you need to know they weigh 394 gms.

antique American ornate silverplate pickle castor, Wilcox Silver Plate Co. #94, amber glass jar

Item number 03061958

Price: $325

This is a lovely American silverplate figural/ornate pickle castor, with an amber glass jar. It is about 9-10 inches tall and has no damage to the metal/silverplate, and is overall in very good condition.
The base seems to be a little bigger than the jar but the lid fits perfectly. It is marked Wilcox Silver Plate Co. and has the patent/production/pattern number 94. Note there is a place on the side at the top where the pickle castor fork/tongs would have hung. I do not have the them.
