Edwardian sterling silver fob chain
Item number: STE31102203
Price: $225
This is an Edwardian fob chain, which was used to hold a pocket watch
or vesta (match safe). It is hallmarked J.S. (maker), star (not sure if
this is some city mark, not known to me), lion (for sterling) and small
c. My guess it is made in Birmingham and so would date to 1903. Every
link in the chain is stampled with a lion. The length of the chain is
34 cms. I do not think the clasp is solid silver, but I am not sure.
