Picquot Ware Magnailium ART DECO serving tray, teapot and coffee/water pot

Item number:TAB16091717

Price: $675

This is a lovely classic Picquot Ware serving tray (RRP $220 in 2007), a Picquot Ware teapot (RRP $300 in 2007), and a Picquot Ware coffee/hot-water pot (RRP $300 in 2007).

All items are in very good to excellent condition...they just needs a good clean.

More information about the amazing Picquot ware range can be found on their website.

The teapot is made of a magnesium aluminium alloy Magnailium....like the stuff they use in military aircraft.

Some of the features of Picquot ware is that it is polished, not plated, is cast in one piece (to ensure no leaks occur around the spout), especially designed spouts for smooth non-drip pouring, machined and milled lid hinges for perfect fit, they can be rejuvenated after many years of use, they have heat resistent handles, made of sycamore wood (tray has heat resistant wareite centre). The prices of Picquot ware can be found on this link.

Here is a summary of the RRPs: Teapot £139.95, approx. $300 AUS
Coffee/Water Jug £ 137.50, approx. $300 AUS
Seving tray £99.95, approx. $220. Price given as in 2007.

Now would be about $1200 plus.

I must say on looking at them closely I am impressed by their design and (solid) construction. I particularly like the way the handles are wooden (no burnies), that they are light weight, but tough, handsome looking, and of solid construction...seems a good quality product all round.

I have recently obtained a matching milk jug (not in photo), that I will throw in with this lot.

Stunning large hand-plated plates

Item number: TAB26091536

Price: $1750

Four large stunning hand-painted (by artist) dinner plates. The plates have been decorated is similar but different patterns by artist Julian Keyser (from South Africa). There are quite large oval-shaped (35 cms x 27 cms) and would make excellent dinner plates or even serving plates. The many colours also make them easy to match in with almost any other setting you may already have. These are really nice.

5 vintage silver-plated tea spoons

Item number: TAB19121655

Price: $30

5 vintage teaspoons. They have some sort of hallmark (hard to read) but I'm quite certian they are silver plated. They measure just over 10 cms long...just the right size for those small Victorian tea cups.
