This is one of the nicest still life paintings (oil on board) I have seen. It is signed but I cannot make out the signiture...might be C.Y. Lari, or something like that. The size of the painting is about 64 cms x 49 cms.

is a fabulous original and rare painting by Clara Lotte von
Marcard-Cucuel nee Marcard. Clara
Lotte von
Marcard-Cucuel is an
internationally recognised German artist. From what I can gather from
the Internet she has done some previous paintings like this (oil on
paper or cardborad). The
size of the
painting is 42.5 cms x 32 cms. It looks to have its original
frame...see photos. I
have also gathered
the following information from the Internet. Clara Lotte von
Marcard was born in Munchin (Munich) in the 19th century. She married
internationally recognised artist Edward Cucuel in 1913, which means
this painting must date to pre-1913 as it is signed C.M. v. Marcard,
and not Marcard-Cucuel. She then lived in USA, New York and San
Francisco. Her
last painting
was offered at $2800 EUR ~ $4500 AUS ~
$3900 US at auction in Germany in 2006. I do not know the outcome of
this sale.
Those of you with an artprice or artwork subsciptions can see what her
painting sold for, and what they have sold for in the past. My price is
about one half of this estimate, and this painting is one of her

paintings rarely
come onto the market and this is an
excellent investment opportunity. Here
